Blue Turtle Technologies (Blue Turtle) has been awarded BMC MSM (Mainframe Solutions Management) Elite Partner status. At a recent BMC global partner conference, held in Orlando, USA, Blue Turtle received recognition as the seventh largest BMC solutions partner in the world.

Blue Turtle, a long-time BMC ESM partner, has for the past 24 months provided MSM products, expanding the partnership with BMC Software to incorporate the full set of BMC offerings from service management, service automation and service assurance; across mainframe and distributed systems.

Nolio appoints Blue Turtle as sole distributor to extend its Release Automation Platform in southern Africa

Blue Turtle Technologies (Blue Turtle) today announced that an agreement was reached with Nolio, giving Blue Turtle sole distribution rights to the company’s products and services in southern Africa.

Nolio Application Service Automation Platform (Nolio ASAP) automates release deployment processes of multi-tier, distributed applications and their configuration settings across the application life cycle in different environments.

It allows data centre teams to centrally execute and control the tasks needed to deploy and service applications, eliminating complexity and errors while streamlining operations for heightened application uptime, accelerated time-to-release and immediate productivity gains.

“We are excited with the new partnership with Nolio as their products and solutions fit perfectly with our Application Lifecycle Management competency. Furthermore, Serena Software, with whom we have had a longstanding relationship, recently announced product integration with Nolio ASAP to extend their release automation offering, further adding value to our local clients,” comments Marius Nauhaus, Product Manager at Blue Turtle.

Manual processes and lack of release automation technologies lead to unnecessary deployment errors and increased application service costs. Blue Turtle simplifies database complexities for Business Connexion

Blue Turtle Technologies (Blue Turtle) has been awarded the TOAD DBA (Database Administration) suite business by Business Connexion.

Hendrik Rheeder, Senior Manager: Database Management Services, Business Connexion, says: “Business Connexion’s requirement for a DBA toolset that could be used over multiple databases and customers, while simultaneously ensuring accurate reporting and information, was part of the criteria and a key deliverable. Blue Turtle’s Quest TOAD DBA toolset offering coupled with their ability to provide flexible pricing options suited our requirements perfectly.”

Blue Turtle Technologies acquires Column SA

Blue Turtle Technologies (Blue Turtle) today announced the acquisition of Column Technologies South Africa’s (Column SA) BMC Software practice effective 1 February 2011.

As part of the agreement, Blue Turtle will take over all customers and support commitments for Column SA. Column Technologies will retain its Global Service Desk, situated in Cape Town, to service its international clients.

The strategic decision for the acquisition allows Column Technologies to focus on its fast-growing North American, European and Australasia businesses. Blue Turtle has aggressively achieved local BMC growth over the past 24 months.

“The timing of the deal could not have been better,” said Martyn Healy, Marketing Director at Blue Turtle. “We are continually expanding our customer base as well as our support and delivery capabilities, and Column Technologies was looking for a strong local partner who could support their African customers.” The transaction also increases Blue Turtle’s footprint in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
