At Blue Turtle, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) remains an integral part of our organisations philosophy. We believe that working together with the community ensures a brighter future for all.
The Blue Turtle’s CSR strategy is aimed at encouraging growth and development by working with local communities. Our CSR Committee, made up of representatives from across the company, is aligned with various social responsibility programs that focus on Education, Art and Culture, Sports, Health, Environment and Child and Animal Welfare.
Some of our recent initiatives include:
Khayalami Independent School
Who they are: Khayalami Independent School beneficiaries are 100% Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI) who rely on the support or organisations and the community at large.

Yenzani Children’s Home
Who they are: Yenzani is a registered home for abandoned, abused and orphaned boys and girls. The Mission at Yenzani is to give the children a safe home, protect them from secondary abuse and act as advocates of their rights. Yenzani is a Zulu chant that means “Don’t just talk (about it) – do something!”
How we offered assistance: July 18, 2014, brought a jovial atmosphere to the children of Yenzani Children’s Home as we celebrated Tata Madiba’s – Nelson Mandela’s – birthday. Blue Turtle staff brought much cheer by spending quality time with the children and providing gifts and clothes in honour of the Nelson Mandela 67minutes global initiative.

End of the Year Bonus to our Charities
To help raise additional funds for its various community initiatives, Blue Turtle sends an annual request to our partners and clients to contribute to our social initiatives. In the year 2013, funds received from our clients were split between two organisations: the Yenzani Children’s Home and the Johannesburg SPCA.
